The Client Speaks about the Work with Paths To Change

“Sematech decided to sponsor a major retreat for its top leaders. My team and I were faced with a significant set of challenges: design the retreat process, coordinate a team of eight facilitators throughout the three-day event, and facilitate the top five executives in a closed-door session to produce critical business outcomes. Sematech’s leadership was comprised of the highest-ranking executives from the nation’s semiconductor industry. They expected – and required – consummate excellence. It was a high visibility, high stakes challenge for my team and me. To ensure success, I turned to Lawrence Ellis. We had worked with Lawrence on a few occasions in the past, and knew that if anyone could help make this is a success, it was him. He led an intensely collaborative process with my team that produced a stellar retreat design. He coached our facilitation team in advance, and worked with one of my direct reports to coordinate them seamlessly at the event. Finally, I accompanied him into the lion’s den – a meeting with the top executive leaders. Despite the strong egos in the room, Lawrence skillfully facilitated them to alignment on all key decisions, within the allotted time. Participants rated the retreat a stunning success – no small feat for busy executives who generally resist taking off several days for retreats of this sort. We owed this in large part to the masterful consulting and facilitation of Lawrence Ellis.”
